Product Description

Gliricidia sepium is a fast-growing, multipurpose leguminous tree widely used in tropical farming systems as a source of high-quality livestock fodder, green manure, soil improvement, fuelwood, and live fencing.

Gliricidia is considered one of the best fodder trees for ruminants.

Typical nutritional composition:

Crude protein: 18–30%
Good digestibility (typically 55–70%)
Rich in calcium and other minerals
Useful supplement to low-quality crop residues and natural pastures

The leaves can be fed fresh, wilted, or incorporated into cut-and-carry feeding systems for:

Dairy cattle
Beef cattle
Goats
Sheep
