The enterprise was founded and is led by Dr. Tonny Kidega, a veterinarian who established the farm around 2013 with the aim of transforming dairy production in Northern Uganda. It operates as both a commercial dairy farm and a training/research center for smallholder dairy farmers. The farm is located in Unyama, along the Gulu–Kitgum road.
