Dr. Atedu is a Livelihood Restoration expert with over 20 years’ experience in the Art and Practice of Veterinary medicine covering a wide range of animal species from cattle, swine, poultry, apiary and aquaculture in all regions of Uganda and East African countries with extensive training in animal management from Belgium, France, Egypt and Thailand. He holds Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Science in Biochemistry Degrees from Makerere University and Kampala International University respectively. With solid experience with Multinationals like Zoetis as a Consultant veterinarian targeting Poultry in Sub-Saharan Africa where I came up with practical solutions to improve poultry health and built a strong Diagnostics infrastructure to ensure that accurate diagnosis was done to ensure correct medication is availed to the animals, to Working with the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Livelihood Restoration Project as The Consultant Technical Lead for Livestock Livelihood Restoration where I had to innovate interventions to help improve Livestock Household incomes through improved animal husbandry technologies like Artificial Insemination, establishment of improved drought resistant pastures, proper acaricide use, record keeping as well as works all over the cattle corridor, Dr. Atedu offers/provides technical and professional services to organizations, businesses and individuals across East Africa through consulting, capacity building, and integrated solutions in household income improvement addressing cross cutting issues, climate-smart farming innovations/practices, skills development, knowledge and skills transfer (training, coaching, mentorship in selected programming approaches/models), research and accountability, results-based management of projects and program/proposal design.
